Olex supply a range of specialised medium voltage cable designs for submarine applications, typically providing electricity and communication links between neighbouring islands, oil platforms and to interconnect towns in the relatively shallow waters found in river and tidal stream crossings.
Each application is unique in its requirements and we have technical design solutions available for both long and short links at moderate depths.
Cables are either single or double wire armoured, depending on installation and protection requirements.
We are able to supply in single lengths with a gross weight up to 20 tonne. Where circuit lengths are greater than can be supplied by a single length, we then provide specialised joints, which still enables low cost installation but also enhances the reliability of the circuit in the event of damage.
We offer only proven accessories to be used with our cables and can also provide installation advice, recommendations, or supervision of the installation.
