Olex wins major project in Alice Springs

13 Aug 2008

Olex are currently supplying the cable requirements for the relocation of the Alice Springs’ Ron Goodwin Power Station.

The project requires the relocation of two gas-turbined generators from its current location to the Brewer Estate, a new industrial area 25kms from Alice Springs.

Olex will be supplying almost 100kms of cables, with a total value of over $4 million, ranging from 22kv Aluminium and Copper cables through to various 11kv cables. The cable will be installed underground and runs for a distance of 15km.

To date, more than 50% of the cable has been delivered, with an expected completion of end September 2008.
