Olex assists customers in flood affected areas

Central Queensland has received unusually high rainfall this year resulting in major flooding in areas including Rockhampton, Emerald and the surrounding region.

The floods have devastated these areas with thousands of homes and businesses affected by the flood waters.

To assist our customers in providing timely supply Olex initiated a “Priority Flood” service for customers in the affected areas. This service requires the coordination of a number of departments and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.

With a dedicated staff member in the Olex Customer Service Centre, priority despatch arrangements from the Olex Geebung distribution centre and close liaison with our transport company for priority shipment, all orders marked “Priority Flood” are escalated to urgent. This then ensures that wherever possible, product is despatched the same day and delivered by next day.

The feedback from our customers on this service has been very positive and Olex will continue to offer this service until Central Queensland has returned to their normal day to day status.
