In an ever changing technological environment, it is vital that Olex is able to adapt and stay ahead and as such, we will shortly be moving toward a new information system.
On Monday 11th January 2010, Olex will change its ERP computer system to SAP. Our target is to maintain "business as usual" and we anticipate minimal disruption to the operation of our business during its implementation.
Changing to a new computer system involves big changes within a business. However we have taken a number of steps to ensure that the implementation process runs as smoothly as possible and causes the least amount of disruption to our valued customers and suppliers. These steps include:
Successfully completing various process tests of the new system, including a successful trial implementation in early December;
Considerable on-site support and assistance from SAP Australia and Nexans France;
The option to continue with our existing system at any point during the implementation, if required.
Accordingly, we are confident that we will have a successful implementation of our new SAP system.
The implementation of SAP is another example of Olex' ongoing commitment to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our business. We recognise that in order to continue to be a world class business, we must maintain world class systems.
